 PRESIDENT DEPOWA RECEIVES DIAOWA COORDINATOR ON A COURTESY VISIT

The President of the Nigerian Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs. Mernan Femi-Oluyede, received the Coordinator of the Defence Intelligence Agency officers wives Association (DIAOWA), Mrs. Jane Undiandeye, on Wednesday, 29th April 2026, during a courtesy visit to the DEPOWA Secretariat, Abuja.

During the visit, the President emphasized the importance of unity, collaboration, and alignment with national policies to ensure the effective implementation of welfare and empowerment programmes for military families and the wider society. She further commended the Coordinator for her impactful initiatives, humanitarian outreaches, and empowerment programmes. She also encouraged sustained synergy between the National Executive Council and chapter leadership to enhance service delivery and overall impact.

In her remarks, Mrs. Undiandeye expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed the Chapter’s commitment to advancing DEPOWA’s mission and vision in line with the President’s directives.

Highlights of the visit included the signing of the visitors’ book, interactive sessions, presentation of souvenirs, and group photographs.
