The Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA) is a leading humanitarian and empowerment organization dedicated to improving the wellbeing of women, children, widows, and vulnerable groups within military and police communities and beyond.

Through strategic partnerships, community-based interventions, and sustainable development initiatives, DEPOWA promotes economic empowerment, education, healthcare access, and social protection for families across Nigeria.

The Defence and Police Officers' Wives Association (DEPOWA) is an Association of women bound together by their marriage to Military and Police Officers in Nigeria working towards enhancing lives of people within and outside the Military and Police Barracks.

Our Mission

To enhance the quality of life of military and police families by fostering education, economic empowerment, healthcare, psychosocial support, and inclusive opportunities for women, children, widows, and vulnerable groups through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and sustainable development within and beyond the barracks.

Our Vision

To strengthen the bond between women in our communities, fostering strategic and collaborative engagements for the general wellbeing and economic upliftment of families within the barracks and beyond.
